Bathroom Tile Cleaning Guide - How to clean bathroom tiles?
2022/6/23 16:40:39

Cleaning bathroom tiles are an integral part of cleaning your home. If you are only doing a basic clean, you can use lemon juice, baking soda, all-purpose cleaner and other tools that you may always have at home. But if the bathroom tiles are very dirty and need a deep clean, it is best to switch to a steam cleaner or a chemical cleaner such as bleach or ammonia. In the process, don't forget to clean the crevices between the wall tiles.

To do basic cleaning

1. Use vinegar to clean the tiles. Mixing water and distilled white vinegar or cleaning vinegar in a one-to-one ratio makes a very effective cleaner. For example, you can take 75 ml each of vinegar and water and mix them. Dip a rag into a little of the mixture and scrub the tile until it is clean. Then wipe the tile dry or let it air dry on its own.

Vinegar is a great cleaner because the vinegar molecule is hydrophobic, meaning it is insoluble, on the one hand, and hydrophilic, meaning it will affinity with water, on the other. When you spray it onto grease or grime, the hydrophobicity will allow the vinegar molecules to stick to the grease, seeping underneath it and keeping it off the surface you are cleaning."

2. Rub lemon juice onto tiles. Lemon juice has a weak acidity, making it an effective tile cleaner. Pour lemon juice into a spray bottle and spray it directly onto the China tiles, then wipe clean with a damp sponge. You can also just dip a sponge into a little lemon juice and wipe the tiles clean. Then clean the tiles with a sponge or rag dipped in warm water. If you wish, you can sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda on the bathroom tiles and spray some lemon juice on them, or wipe them with a sponge dipped in lemon juice.

3. Spray a cleaning product on the tiles. You can buy a wide range of all-purpose cleaning products, all of which are effective at cleaning bathroom tiles. Although the exact method of application will vary depending on the product you use, in general, you want to spray a thin layer of the product you have chosen on the tiles and then wipe the tiles clean with a clean rag.

- Cleaning products in powder form may need to be mixed with water before use.

- Before you start cleaning the tiles, you should close the bathroom door and windows, plug the bath, turn on the tap in the bath and run hot water for a few minutes. This will fill the bathroom with steam and make cleaning the tiles much easier.

Use a strong tile cleaner

1. Use a baking soda cleaner. Mix 90g of baking soda, 5ml of liquid detergent and 60ml of hydrogen peroxide. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spray it onto the bathroom tiles to be cleaned. Wait 10 minutes, then wipe the tiles clean with a damp sponge or rag.

2. Clean the tiles with a mixture of water and bleach. Mix bleach and water in a ratio of 1 to 3 to make a tile cleaning solution that works well. For example, you can add 75ml of bleach to 225ml of water. Pour the solution into a spray bottle and spray it against the bathroom tiles you want to clean. Use a rag dampened with warm water to clean the tiles.

- Bleach can give off harmful fumes. Remember to open doors and windows before cleaning to prevent harmful fumes from building up in the bathroom.

- Bleach also irritates the skin, so wear thick rubber cleaning gloves when cleaning bathroom tiles with it. 3.

3. Use ammonia. Mix ammonia and water in a ratio of 1 to 2. For example, you could pour 75ml of ammonia into 150ml of water. Pour the mixed solution into a spray bottle and spray it against the bathroom tiles you want to clean. Wait for about 60 minutes to let it work, then scrub it clean with a clean, damp rag.

- Ammonia, like bleach, gives off toxic fumes. Keep the bathroom ventilated by opening doors and windows.

- In addition, ammonia can irritate the skin, so wear thick rubber cleaning gloves when cleaning bathroom tiles with it.
